Thanks for all the great episodes full of cracking music. Your hard work in spreading the joy of Folk Music is and has been appreciated.

Thank you, for all that you have done. It will be sad, but I also pray that others pick up the mantle.

So sorry to hear that you are retiring your podcasts. I lost track of you for a while but I am now working my way through your archive. Just finished listening to Podcast 306 which is just fabulous. Thank you for your massive contribution to the folk scene and I wish you well.

I guess that this time the retirement does mean the end of the Folk Show. Over the years you have provided entertainment for millions over the airwaves and to thousands on stage. A workshop you held half a century ago encouraged me to pick up a concertina – when I could eventually afford one. And I learned not to put a raw egg in a leaky radiator. Thanks and Best Wishes.

Hi Mike, l have listened on and off for a few years now, but lately your choice of music has accompanied me to and from hospital for daily radiotherapy sessions, so feeling even more grateful for what you have done over the years.

I too want to say thanks a million for these great shows you put out there. I’ve listened to the podcast for quite some years, always enjoyed it and loved that you just played whatever is good music, has great lyrics or, of course, both. The world really needs more chaps as good as you’re seem to be one.

So grateful, Mike, for all the effort you’ve made to bring the world this great folk music. And heartbroken that it’s over. Who’s going to do it now? No one could do it with all the heart you put into it.
Thank you and enjoy your retirement.

Just a quick message to thank you for all the wonderful shows that have been a thrill to share on ‘Mystery Train Radio’. Your dedication to the music and artists you’ve loved to share has been inspiring. Very best wishes to you… and a massive thanks to Spike too for the help he’s supplied this end. All the best from MTRHQ!

Just to say a huge thank you for all the shows and great music over the years. So sad to hear that this was the last podcast, but you surely deserve to retire. Wishing you all the best and hope your health improves and you get to enjoy the things you love. From a Yorkshire lass, veteran of the Topic, Bradford – THOSE were the days! – now listening from Ontario.

Hi Mike. Many thanks for all the music over the years. I’ve had many enjoyable daily walks around St Anne’s Park, here in Dublin, listening to your podcasts on my phone. I wish you the very best, in your future endeavours. Regards.
