Thank you so much, Mike, for all your music and comments, I terribly will miss your voice, your jokes, your stories and tunes. I hope you stay healthy and happy as long as you like.
Thanks again.
Just listened to your last podcast Mike and I was totally taken aback by your announcement at the end. For some reason I had the notion that your stone shed shows would go on and on as I’ve got so used to them always being there. But of course I completely understand your reasons from bringing them to a close and I wish you nothing but the best in whatever you decide to do next.
Many many thanks for the hours of listening pleasure you have given for no other reward than to share the music with everyone. Which, when it comes down to it, is the best reason in the world anyway.
Thanks again Mike, take care and go well. You took your own advice and never let the buggers grind you down!
You introduced me to Folk around 40 years ago via your TV shows. Enjoyed it ever since. I think I’ve listened to almost all of your 309 podcasts and it’s always been lovely to hear your voice. It’ll be strange not having another to listen to. Wish you all the best, may retirement be filled with music, laughter, friends and family.
Fair play Mike! You have provided countless hours of listening joy to people all over the world. We will miss hearing you here in Amerikay. All the best, Jim
Hi Mike, enjoy your retirement.
I have saved all your podcasts and have enjoyed listening to everyone of them, but of course am sorry there will be no more.
Next month I will start at podcast number one and gradually listen and enjoy them all again.
Regards Judy
From here ‘Downunder’ many thanks for your excellent monthly podcast of quality music. Being an ex-pat Yorkshireman I always love to hear how things are in your corner of Gods’ Own County as you look outside the stone shed. I share many of your sentiments about the world in which we live and have really enjoyed a couple of hours escaping into the world of Folk & Roots Music each month. Enjoy your ‘retirement’ and keep safe and well.
Hi Mike,
I would like to thank you very much for all the years of awesome music, information and banter to cheer up my life every month, something I have always looked forward to.
I cannot even start to imagine the amount of work and hours you have to put in every month so I can put in my EarPods and listen while working away, enjoying every minute.
Thank you very much Mike, I hope you have a very happy and healthy future.
Take care.
Mike – many many many thanks for you and your team for the 300+ podcasts. A real treasure trove – it’s a real loss to us listeners. Rest up, look after yourself and don’t let the buggers get you down. Thank you.
Mike, Thank you so much for all the many years of folk shows. You have introduced us to so many wonderful artists over at least 30 years. When our kids were little they were sometimes allowed to stay up late to listen to Folk on 2 – and a liking for folk has rubbed off on at least one of them ! And we share your commitment to peace, justice, equality and to calling out governments who work against the common good. Go well. stay well. Peace and love.
Many thanks for all the podcasts and radio shows over the years, I’ve discovered numerous artists through them.
Enjoy your free time, it’s well earned.
